“We stayed over Christmas. The owners provided a decorated and lit tree - a lovely personal touch. The layout is quirky, but in a good way. A very spacious kitchen-diner is great for breakfasts, although there's a bigger dining room next door. There's also a roomy shower room (the shower would easily fit two people) with a toilet, and a comfy living room. The first floor features three bedrooms and a small lavatory room. The second floor has a single bedroom, a double bunk room and a really large bathroom. I'm a little surprised they didn't make more of the space: if the bath wasn't so tight against the wall and the angle of the chimney, its shower could be mounted higher. Although the cottage does have a parking space assigned to it, I really don't recommend using it, as it's ridiculously difficult to manoeuvre a car into the tight little lane leading to the space, and you risk damaging your vehicle. Instead, park in the Salvation Army car park just before it, to unload, then move your car to the East Cliff car park off Cliff Road nearby, and buy a week's season ticket, which is also good for the Station Road car park.”

“Our 4th stay here , week in Sheringham is now a grown up family pilgrimage. Location is what brings us back . 200 m you are on the prom, or in the other direction in the town . So handy for all our needs. Ashley is a character home , and is well appointed to meet your needs . Very comfy, clean and spacious. It is however, dated in decor and provides no wifi, but this is known before booking . Large vehicles will struggle with the on site parking, but public car park close by. Ashley sleeps 8 , but strangely only seating for 6 adults in lounge , which is fine for us but could be a problem.<br />
Excellent service from Keys Cottages as usual. Have booked other properties with them and would thoroughly recommend. ”

“The house was in a great position - so close to the sea. It does need to have Wi-Fi if possible that was missed by my grandchildren. The shower&rsquo;s were very efficient. There were some lovely toys for my grandchildren to play with. ”

“We didn&rsquo;t think we&rsquo;d find accommodation big enough for us so what a treat to find Ashley Cottage. We wanted to bring our two mothers away for a treat as well as our two daughters and their partners. Ashley Cottage was perfect, we had 5 bedrooms, 3 toilets and 2 shower/baths. We all had ample room, the kitchen had everything we needed and plenty of everything which you don&rsquo;t always find when there&rsquo;s a lot of you. A dishwasher which was great. The location was fantastic, so close to the centre. We came in 4 cars(we even brought the dogs) and there&rsquo;s only space for one smaller car but the others parked in the nearby car park which cost &pound;8.50 for 24 hours. We all remarked what a lovely few days we&rsquo;d had and would definitely come again. Jo and Lee. ”

The kitchen is well fitted, with the benefit of a dishwasher plus a useful breakfast table in addition to the main dining room next door.<br />
The main improvement that is needed is the addition of WiFi as this is considered an essential by the younger members of the household, and increasingly by the majority of people. ”
